The basics of the LGBTQ+ Money Study with The Motley Fool
This past year, we had the honor of working with The Motley Fool to conduct a first-of-its-kind and the first in a LONG time LGBTQ+ money study. This is huge because we can’t who needs help and where unless we talk to the members of the queer community, and this study let us connect with over 2,000 self-identified LGBTQ+ folks. Overall, we’re both concerned and inspired by the study results. For example, we’re shocked by the number of LGBTQ+ people who reported being discriminated against by someone in the financial services industry, 48%, and we’re inspired by the number of transgender respondents who shared in this survey that they’re on a clear path to financial security.
